My Mother's Love

I know my mother loves me beyond anything else on earth, but still my brothers and I are not the loves of her life. I can say without fear of contradiction that my mother's one true love is Jesus Christ. When I was young and needed to leave a note for my mother, I would leave it on her Bible on the couch. I knew no matter what the day held, the very first thing my mother would do is spend time with her Love. How could anyone raise three little boys by themself without a husband? My mother only ever needed one "Man"; that's Jesus. Never in my life can I remember not having what I needed. Jesus paid the bills and kept food on our table. I owe everything good and decent that I am to my mother and my eternal Father.

So to my mother, thank you for not ever putting us first. Thank you for the woman you are and the man that I am. I love you!!!

Life Long Love

Its Christmas time and I'm back home for the first time in a year. I absolutely love seeing my mom and brothers, and this year my grandparents flew in from California. My grandparents, Richard and Salle, have been married for over 47 years. They love God first; therefore, they love each other as they love Christ. Never have I seen such a love between a man and a woman. That is not to say they are always happy or smiling, but that the way they look at each other and know each other cannot be fabricated. What a rarity that is in this society full of cheaters and people who will walk out on the one they "love" for the most trivial thing . The general consensus is that no one ever stays married anymore and if you're not happy, get a divorce. Why? Why do people enter into the holy bond of marriage with no intention of fulfilling the greatest commitment they've ever made to another person? My mamaw was 18 years old when my grandparents married, so age has nothing to do with marriage failure. As long as God is in it, you will last until death do you part.

Hold to this truth: Strong is the house the Lord has built, and long is the love blessed by God.

Stop Looking

Have you ever searched for something? Searched so long, and so hard but you just couldn't find it no matter where you looked? Have you ever asked yourself, why this certain thing seems so elusive and so intangible? Maybe you should try letting go. Don't confuse this with giving up. I simply mean show some patience. Stop killing yourself trying to obtain something that will come in good time.

You may think this is easier said than done. I assure you it is not. I searched for something so long, finally i realized if it will happen it will happen. For six months I "let go" and just sat back and enjoyed where I was in my life. A few days ago the very thing I sought after found me. This thing has made me happier than I've been in quite some time.

Take it from me. When you stop searching you may find exactly what you were looking for.

Just A Thought

I, Timothy Joshua Daniel Habedank, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

This is the oath I took 12 June 2007. Nothing could ever make me break this vow I have made to my country. Although I do not agree with the views and opinions of our nations new president I still swore that I would obey his orders. So to those who want him out give it a rest and to those who put him in you voted with your eyes and not your minds.

A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both. Dwight D. Eisenhower

Think about it.

Sweet Life

Today is a gorgeous day as is everyday. Therefore I have decided to enjoy every second of every minute of every hour of every day.

"There is only one difference between a long life and a good dinner: that, in the dinner, the sweets come last." (Robert Louis Stevenson)

Friendship

Through a simple statement a friendship can begin. So many different people so many different personalities yet we all seek friendship. friendship is the simple thought of being connected to someone through common interests or goals. If you find yourself seeking friendship its quite simple to attain.

As the Bible says "A man who hath friend must show himself friendly". So if you seek friendship be a friend to someone who needs it.

Better

Quit complaining about how things are, and wishing they were somehow magically better. Press on, drive ahead, move forward, get going, and do so in a hurry. We are so content to stay where we are yet complain about how things are going. Be direct and determined in your pursuit of something great.

Today be the change that you would like to see in the world, and I promise to do the same.
